This leading law practice are looking for someone who loves Pro Bono & Community Affairs and would like to manage the programme both in London and internationally.
The role of Pro Bono & Community Affairs Senior Manager is to manage all Pro Bono and Community work undertaken by members of the London office; to report to and liaise with the Pro Bono & Community Affairs Committee and Senior Management; to develop the programme internationally and to manage the Pro Bono & Community Affairs Officers and Assistants within the context of the aims and responsibilities of the Pro Bono & Community Affairs Team.
A key responsibility of the role will be the development of the international Pro Bono programme and developing multi-jurisdictional projects that reflect the firm’s international presence and expertise. The Head will also be responsible for developing projects that make the programme relevant to all of our key stakeholders, including our clients.
Other ongoing responsibilities will include:
- Development and implementation of strategies to support, expand and diversify the programme
- Identifying key policy issues for the programme and working with Senior Management, the Pro Bono & Community Affairs Committee and the Partnership to develop, implement and track policy
- Advocating key policy issues on behalf of Senior Management and the firm
- Liaising with the government, community groups, Pro Bono and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) organizations / networks and other firms to develop pro bono policy, identify best practice, and implement projects within a CSR framework
-Communication and Marketing - including internal/external communication
-Client relationship management through the development of collaborative community projects etc; marketing and PR (including award applications, interviews with the press)
Reporting into the Head of Social Investment you will be managing the Pro bono officer and community affairs officer. The firm will consider a Pro Bono lawyer for this role.
