George Edward Foreman (born January 10, 1949) is an American two-time World Heavyweight Boxing Champion. He is the oldest man ever to win the heavyweight title, and also has been named one of the 25 greatest fighters of all time. Nicknamed Big George, he is now a successful businessman and an ordained Christian minister who has his own church. In January 2003, Foreman was elected to the International Boxing Hall Of Fame, where he was inducted in June. That same year, he was named boxing's ninth greatest puncher of all time by Ring Magazine. In 2004, Foreman began marketing the George Foreman brand of "Big and Tall" clothes through the retailer Casual Male. On May 22, 2007, it was announced that Foreman has become a partner in the Panther Racing IndyCar team. |
