If it slips off or splits during sex, you should withdraw immediately, wash yourself, and replace with a new condom. Doubling up: Some people are tempted to use two condoms at once, thinking that doubling up will double the protection. Don't do this. The two condoms will rub against one another, and the increased friction will make them more likely to split. Also, never use a male condom and a female condom at the same time, for the same reason. When you're done: Withdraw from your partner while the penis is still hard, holding the condom at the base of your penis so that the semen doesn't spill. Remove the condom and dispose of it by wrapping it in tissue and putting it in the rubbish. Never put condoms down the toilet. You need to use a new condom every time you have sex. |
